Anne Burrell
Anne W. Burrell, an American TV chef and the former Institute of Culinary Education instructor she is a popular TV host. She hosts Secrets of a Restaurant Chef on the Food Network. Her signature spiky blonde hair and her pumped-up appearance, Anne Burrell eliminates the intimidation of restaurant dishes and reveals straightforward, simple techniques to master for the at-home cook on her Food Network series Secrets of a Restaurant Chef. Chef Burrell has also worked at several of the most prestigious restaurants within New York, studied the culinary landscape and traditions of Italy and competed on Food Network's Iron Chef America. When she was a kid in Upstate New York Chef Burrell was attracted by the food. Her passion was for working in the restaurant business by enrolment in The Culinary Institute of America following the completion of a bachelor's degree in English and Communications from Canisius College, Buffalo NY. I loved every minute that I was a student at The Culinary Institute of America she says. The Culinary Institute of America was an excellent location to learn. After graduating, Burrell spent one year in Italy studying in the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners and worked in the Umbrian restaurant La Taverna del Lupo as and Tuscany's La Bottega del 30, which is a Michelin-starred establishment. Burrell gained a greater knowledge of Italian culinary and cultural traditions while in Italy, which has influenced the way she cooks. Burrell serves on the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board that helps brighten the lives of kids who struggle. She also is a Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation's Celebrity Advocate in which she raises awareness about juvenile diabetics. Burrell is often a guest to speak at conferences and tours across the nation as part of her mentorship task. In her journey to culinary excellence, Anne often says that she feels extremely fortunate to have the opportunity to share what I love most to others.
